Lydia E. Ortiz

Lydia E. Ortiz, 65, of New Britain, widow of Julio E. Sanchez, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Hospital of Central CT. Born in Puerto Rico, she was a Hartford resident before moving to New Britain six years ago. Surviving are her children, Beatrice Velez, Anthony Velez, Julio E. Sanchez, and Abigail Sanchez; two daughters-in-law, Carmen Santos and Carmelita Quinones; thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services and calling hours will be held on Sunday from 11 AM to 1 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain.
