Luz Gladys Rodriguez

L uz Gladys (Montalban) Rodriguez, 64, of Cromwell, widow of Horatio Rodriguez Jr., passed away peacefully Friday, December 18, 2020.

Born on July 28, 1956 in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Montalban and Luz Gladys (Cruz) Dones.  She was a former New Britain resident before moving to Cromwell 30 years ago.  Gladys was employed by Wesleyan University.

She is survived by her son Horatio Jesse Rodriguez and her sisters; Hilda White and husband Daniel of Land O Lakes, FL, Eve Sonia Plata and husband Antonio of Loiza, Puerto Rico, Frances Dones of Hartford, and Mildred Cook of Enfield; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother, Michael A. Dones.  She was a communicated of The Seventh Day Adventist Church in New Britain, CT.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 22 from 5 – 7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Maple Cemetery in Berlin.
