Luz Maria Matos, 70, of Hartford, passed away on Thursday at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Ramon Antonio Matos. Born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Juan Santana and Virginia Cotto. Luz was a housekeeper in a retirement home for many years. She was a member of Templo Fe Pentecostal Church, Hartford. In addition to her husband, Luz is survived by her three daughters Ivette Reyes and her husband Jesse of Hartford, Yolanda Matos-Gerena and her husband Alfred Gerena of East Hartford, Luz Virginia Matos of Wethersfield, two sons Reymon Matos and his wife Norma of East Hartford, William Pagan Matos and his wife Maria M. Colon of Puerto Rico, twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four brothers, Antonio Santana of Newington, Julio Santana of Fl, Victor Rivera of Manchester, and Jorge Cotto of Hartford, two sisters, Anita Torres and Antonia Rivera, both of Hartford. Funeral services and visitation will be held on Sunday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Templo Fe Pentecostal Church, 1019 Broad St., Hartford, CT 06106. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, New Britain is in charge of arrangements.
