Luis M. Rivera

Luis M. Rivera, 69, of New Britain, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 at the Hospital of Central CT. He was the husband of Carmen Milagros Rivera who died in 2008. Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Luis Rivera and Virginia Vasquez. He was a New Britain resident for over 40 years. Surviving are two daughters, Carmen Kelley and Luz Rivera, both of New Britain; eleven brothers and sisters, Aida Rivera, Juan Rivera, Carmelo Rivera, Elba Rivera, Migdalia Rivera, Carmen Maria Rivera, Carmen Lydia Rivera, Milagros Rivera, Ana Rivera, Jorge Rivera and Heriberto Rivera; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews, and his extended family at Ledgecrest Health Care Center. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 7-9 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery.
