Luigi “Gino” Miele 76 of Kensington husband of Anna Maria Miele passed away on October 29 of 2026 at home surrounded by loving family. Born in Cervinara, Italy, he was the youngest of five children of the late Domenico Miele and Concetta (Esposito) Miele.
Surviving are his beloved wife Anna Maria (Marotta) Miele of 47 years; a son Domenico Miele, and his wife Milena of Kensington; a daughter Concetta Miele of Kensington; a brother Augustino (Tomasina) Miele of Italy; three sisters Maria, (Pasquale) Casale, Tanina (Mario) Taddeo of Italy, and Anna Chieffo (late husband Michael) of Newington; two grandchildren, Giuliana Miele and Matteo Torres; Matteo’s father, Arian Torres; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gino proudly served in the Italian military, where he learned the skills of auto body repair that would become the foundation of his lifelong career. In 1974, he immigrated to the United States, bringing with him his knowledge, determination, and strong work ethic. He went on to master his trade, dedicating 39 years to the auto body industry and building a life through hard work and perseverance.
Gino was truly a jack of all trades. There was very little he couldn’t do. He enjoyed home improvement projects, carpentry, and working with his hands. Whether fixing something around the house or taking on a new project, he took great pride in his work and had a special talent for making things better.
In 1979, Gino married the love of his life, his beloved wife, Anna Maria. Together, they built a life filled with love, memories, and family.
When he wasn’t working on a project, Gino enjoyed watching soccer and playing bocce as a member at the IPIC club, a pastime that brought him great pleasure. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy and were a very special part of his life.
Gino will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his many talents, his dedication to his family, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His legacy lives on through the family he loved, the work of his hands, and the countless memories he leaves behind.
