Lucy Homar

Lucy Homar, 60, of New Britain, passed away on Tuesday, August, 1, 2017 at Hartford Hospital.

Born in New Britain, she is the daughter of Marcelina Ocasio of New Britain and the late Nicholas Ocasio.  Lucy lived most of her life in New Britain and was a member of St. Mary Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Benjamin Homar and his wife Chanel of New Britain and Jason Homar and his wife Elena of New Britian; a daughter, Michelle Homar of New Britain; twelve grandchildren, Dominic, Brian, Maiya, Jacob, Tianna, Mariah, Kiara, Jaida, Jason Jr., Evan, Julian , and Cali; a great granddaughter, Londyn;  a special niece, Veronica; two brothers, Nicholas Ocasio and Jose Ocasio, and two sisters Isabel Luna and Bernadine Flores.  Lucy also leaves behind her companion Michael Brault.  She was predeceased by her sister, Carmen Ortiz and her father Nicholas Ocasio.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 -8:00 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain, CT.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
