Lowell Fink, 77, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of New Britain and Farmington, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach after a brief illness. Born February 22, 1932 in New Britain, he was the son of the late Arnold A. and Helen M. Sinskie Fink. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an independent tile contractor for 40 years before his retirement, and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Survivors include his two daughters, Shirley Reed of Enfield, and Carol Rice of North Richland Hills, TX; a son, Edward Fink of New Britain; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth Reed, Jonathan Reed, Catherine Jamerson and Patrick Rice. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, at 11:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
