Louise Elna Harlow

Louise (Johnson) Harlow, 82, of Higganum, originally of Newington, passed away on August 2, 2021 at home after a brief battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Gunnard and Elsie (Melander) Johnson; a former member of Bethany Covenant Church (New Britain); a graduate of Newington High School and North Park College (Chicago); a former resident of Carlisle, MA, Merritt Island, FL, and Boxborough, MA; and a retired receptionist for the Office of Michael Rosenfeld (Acton, MA).

Lou will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Stephan (Steve), her children Kay and Gary Stevens (Mokena, IL), Steve and Julie Harlow (Hudson, MA), Jen and Jon Wortmann (Ellington), grandchildren Layne Stevens and Faith and Luke Harlow, sisters Carolyn Wahlberg (New Britain) and Norma Peterson (Cape Canaveral, FL), and beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A committal service will be held privately with family at Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. The funeral service will be August 18 at 12:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations instead be made to one or more of the following: WIHS Radio, Christian Worship Hour, Samaritan’s Purse, Salvation Army, St. Jude, or the Jesus Film Project.
