Louis "Louie" James Tarca

Louis “Louie” James Tarca passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025. Lou was born on March 12, 1957, in New Britain, and was a lifelong resident and a graduate of New Britain High School. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jane (Mataosian), and his parents, Peter T. Tarca and Ann J. (Giattino) Tarca.

Lou was a wonderful husband, son, brother, and uncle and he will be missed very much. He will be remembered for his warm smile, sense of humor and chatting it up with everyone he met. He was an employee of General Electric, Nickson Industries and O’Reilly Auto Parts.

Lou loved NASCAR and attended the Daytona 500 many times, along with numerous other races. He also loved the beach, going to the casino, traveling and spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his siblings; John Tarca, Peter (Maureen) Tarca, Jim (Lynelle) Tarca, and JoAnn (Jack) Doyle, his nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 1010 Slater Road, New Britain. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.
