Louelle "Claire" Adam, 76, of New Britain, wife of John P. Adam, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Madawaska, Me, she was the daughter of the late John and Regina Long. Louelle was a New Britain resident for over 30 years and was formerly employed as a lunch aide. She was a member of St. Jerome Church. Claire loved to play bingo, and enjoyed Cash Word, Elvis, crossword puzzles, and her Pepsi. Claire had a heart-warming personality, was an amazing caregiver, and was loved by all who knew her, including the children at the school where she worked, who affectionately called her "grandma". She was a loving and nurturing woman to everyone she came in contact with. She was often outspoken, but always funny. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mom and grandmother and will be dearly missed by everyone. Surviving are her husband, John P. Adam; a son, Sal Morreale; four daughters and their spouses, Michelle A. Dyer and her husband Mark, Anne Marie Adam and her husband Glen Hebert, Carol Hagan and her husband Jack, and Lynn Macri and her husband Tony; a brother, Roger Long; a sister, Nellie Sirois; eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 9 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Jerome Church. Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 26 from 5-7 PM.
