It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine (Dube) Vereneau. Lorraine passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the age of 87 and was the widow of Armand A. “Pete” Vereneau.
Born in Biddeford, ME, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Georgianna (Valliere) Dube. Lorraine was a New Britain resident for 65 years and was formerly employed at Brittany Farms Convalescent Home before retiring. She was a devoted member at St. Francis of Assisi Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. Lorraine enjoyed sitting on the beach at the lake, knitting, crocheting, and puzzles. She looked forward to her weekly exercise classes at the New Britain Senior Center and going shopping with her friends. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren. We will miss her loving spirit and infectious witty humor.

Surviving are her son, Donald Vereneau and his wife Linda of Newington; two daughters, Cinda Choinski and her husband Jerry of Plainville, Laurie-Ann Piendak and her husband Daniel of Newington; a sister, Doris Mathieu of Southington; six grandchildren and their spouses, Jeffrey and Terri Choinski, Kevin and Samantha Choinski, Sharon and Brian Martins, Luke Vereneau and his fiance Karyn, Thomas and Courtney Piendak, and Matthew Piendak; seven great-grandchildren,

The family would like to thank Hartford Hospital Hospice for their loving care.
