Lorraine D. Costa

Lorraine D. Costa, 72, of Kensington, died peacefully on Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Hospital of Central CT. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Cznarty) Dorbuck. Lorraine was a former New Britain resident and a Kensington resident for over 40 years. She was formerly employed at Raphael's Department Store and was also employed at several banks in the area, including Berlin Savings Bank, before retiring. She was a member of St. Paul's Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Philip Ferraguto of Kensington; and three grandchildren, Julia, Lauren, and Sophia. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Dorbuck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Church in Kensington. Burial will follow at South Burying Ground. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation-CT, 2139 Silas Deane Hwy, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
