Lloyd M. Bowman

Lloyd M. Bowman, 87, of Cheshire, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the Elim Park Baptist Home in Cheshire. Born in Hutchinson, Kansas, he was the son of the late Elby F. and Ernestine Wright Bowman. Lloyd was a graduate of Herbert Hoover High School in Glendale, CA and lived in California and New Mexico before moving to Cheshire five years ago. He was formerly employed as a truck driver, working as a cross country hauler, and was a US Marine Corps Veteran. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Nicholls of Berlin; a son Robert Bowman and his wife Arleen of Covington, WA; two brothers, Frank Bowman and his wife Rosemarie of Deming, NM, and Martin Bowman of Utah; six grandchildren, Constance Taylor, Cathleen Platt, Christin Bloor, Curtis Bloor, Robert Bowman, Jennifer Taylor and Tracey Pebley; and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial buffet luncheon will be held on Saturday, August 25 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Elim Park Baptist Home, 140 Cook Hill Rd., Cheshire in the Health Care Center. Burial will follow in Maple Cemetery, Berlin at 2:30 PM. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to Elim Park Baptist Home or to the Wallingford Hospice VNA. Erickson-Hansen funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
