Linus C. ''Lee'' Gronback, 72, of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at New Britain General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Jane Conger Gronback. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Harry and Emma Bigge Gronback. A former Newington resident and graduate of Newington High School, Lee has resided in Berlin for the past 24 years. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He attended Berlin Congregational Church and was a starter at Timberlin Golf Course for 6 years. In addition to his wife Jane, he is survived by a son, Kevin Gronback of Lansdale, PA and his fiancee Donna; a daughter, Deborah Gronback of Stoneham, MA; a step-son, Scott Robinson of Columbus, OH; a step- daughter, Beth Murphy of West Simsbury; a sister, Millicent Amberger of Cromwell, three brothers, Richard Gronback of E. Haddam, Ronald Gronback of Wethersfield, and George Gronback of Meriden; two grandchildren, Brittany Robinson and Megan Brooks, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Harry ''Lenny'' Gronback, formerly of Florida. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. New Britain.
