Linda ''Lee'' Zoppino

Linda ''Lee'' Zoppino, 86, of Kensington, a former New Britain resident, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at New Britain General Hospital. She was the widow of Samuel Salvatore Zoppino. Born in Meriden, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Vittoria Castella Cattaneo. She was a long-time New Britain resident, moving to Kensington in 1988. Linda was formerly employed at Andrew House Healthcare. She was a member of St. Anns Church and the Ladies Guild. Linda was a loving mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family. She was affectionately referred to as ''Gramma Lee'' by her neighborhood of friends and children. Surviving are her daughter, Donna Cone and her husband John of Kensington; two grandchildren, Jason Cone and Lindsay Cone; and eight neices and nephews, Louis Gualano, Lucille Gualano, Richard Gualano, Robert Gualano, Mary Gwara, Geraldine Lacerenza, Jean Nadolny, and Donald Zoppino. She was predeceased by a brother, Ugo Cattaneo. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. Anns Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
