Linda R. Schimanski

Linda Schimanski, 78, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lillian (Paskowicz) Levy.  Linda was a long time New Britain resident. She was formerly employed by Specialty Transportation as a bus monitor and enjoyed helping the school children.  Linda was a compassionate person, with a love for animals and people in need.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, Frank Schimanski Sr.; two sons, Frank Schimanski Jr. and Ronald Maldon, both of New Britain; two daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Edward Basigalup of New Britain, Roberta and Santiago Gil of Berlin; five grandchildren, Liam, Lorenzo, Serena, Vinny, and Ashley; a great-granddaughter, Rose; a brother, Kenneth Levy of West Hartford; and a sister, Lorraine Levy Scully of Worchester, MA

Calling hours are Thursday from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM at St. Mary Church.  Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
