Linda Louise McCarthy, 75, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15th, 2024 at Vitas Healthcare in Waterbury. She was the widow of Gerald R. McCarthy.
Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Helena (Fafard) Pelletier. Linda will be remembered for her warm heart and her love of family. Her door was always open to anyone who needed her for someone to talk to or for a good meal. She would take care of others before taking care of herself. She loved spending time with her canine companion Max. During the spring, she would be outside planting beautiful flowers, during the summer she would tend those flowers and mow the lawn, in the fall, she would be raking leaves, and, in the winter, you would find her with a shovel in hand at the first snowflake fall. She said that Grandma always told her that you have to keep moving... and that is what she did. She would never sit. Family was the most important thing to her. She was blessed to have everyone she loved with her when it mattered most.
Surviving is her son, Jay McCarthy of East Hartford, her daughter, Stacey Voss of Wallingford, and her brother Gil Pelletier of Bristol. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Asher McCarthy, Alex McCarthy, Sullivan Voss, and Keegan Voss. Linda was predeceased by her brother Raymond Pelletier and his wife, Doris of Kentucky, her sister Doris (Pelletier) Pisarski and her husband Harry of Bristol.
