Lillian Gosiewski was born to polish immigrant parents in New Britain in 1919. The family moved to Stamford when she was four, staying there to work at Yale and Towne lock makers throughout her schooling. She met Philip Lindstrom through a mutual friend when she was 21. They married on June 29, 1942 and had 73 years together as husband and wife. She loved being a wife, mother and homemaker and stayed in CT with baby Philip when Phil was called up into the army for D Day and the war. When he returned, they added Lars to their family and the growing number of baby boomers. Work relocated them to New Hampshire, back to Connecticut, to South Carolina, then to Florida, back to South Carolina and finally, home to Connecticut. Lill loved every minute of the pilgrimage. Important to her path was her personal faith in Christ, reinforced by Lutheran churches and their women's groups. When they moved to CVOC in 1999, they became members of Bethany Covenant Church. They were active in the CVOC daily devotions, Lill often leading singing with enthusiasm and Bible comments. Lillian leaves behind her beloved husband, Philip "Phil", two sons, Philip (and Cathy) and Lars, two grandchildren, Alyssa and Erik and 5 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 25 at 11:00 a.m. at CVOC Chapel.
