Lillian Sofia Lawson

Lillian S. Lawson, 90, of Pilgrim Manor, Cromwell, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006. Born in Lynn, MA, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Hilda Shelman Lawson. As a result of her mother's death, she was raised by her mother's sister, Anna, and her husband, Oscar Lekberg. Lillian was formerly employed at Rotary Machine Co. in Andover, MA. Lillian had a very deep faith and commitment to her church. She was a member of the Lynn Covenant Church which later became the Community Covenant Church of West Peabody. At church, she was active in the women's group, the Dorcas Society, and was a devoted member of the Library Committee. She moved to Pilgrim Manor in 1984 and became a member of Bethany Covenant Church in 1990. Lillian loved to be around people and activity. Lillian is survived by her niece, Suzanne Bailey of Ormond Beach, FL. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Pilgrim Manor Chapel, Cromwell. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn MA. Memorial donations may be made to the CVOC Benevolent Care Fund, 52 Missionary Rd., Cromwell, CT 06416.
