Lee A. Gerlander

Lee Gerlander of Tolland, died Friday, July 16, 2021. He was born in New Britain, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alf Gerlander, and was a resident of Tolland for the past 56 years. Lee was preceded in death by his wife, and son, Randal. He is survived by his son, Todd Gerlander; daughter, Kristin Gerlander; sister, Dale; and brother, Scott.

Lee (retired) was employed by the State of Connecticut, Dept. of Public Safety, Office of Emergency Management. He was a graduate of New Britain High School, and Hartford State Technical College. He loved history and genealogy, and he was a member of the Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution for the past 47 years. He served as Corporal for the society living history color guard unit, participating at the annual ceremonies at Bunker Hill, Lexington and Concord, Fort Griswold, and other New England historic sites, and was awarded the prestigious NSSAR Von Steuben color guard medal. He made many friends in the New England living history community. Words cannot express how greatly he is missed.

Private funeral services will be held for family members only, followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
