Lawrence Voisine, 84, of Plainville, husband of Eva (Richard) Voisine, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 after fighting a courageous battle at the Hospital of Central CT. Lawrence was surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ft. Kent, ME, Lawrence was the son of the late Albert and Yvonne (Daigle) Voisine. He lived in New Britain for a short while before moving to Plainville in 1967 where he and Eva raised their family. He was a mechanic and equipment operator most of his life and there wasn't much he couldn't fix. Most recent, he was the owner of L.V. & Sons Trucking Co. of which he was most proud. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his much loved Cadillac and could be found shining his car almost daily. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church. Surviving are his wife, Eva (Richard) Voisine; his children and their spouses, Robert Voisine and his wife Jenny, Plainville, Lawrence Voisine Jr. and his wife Anne, Plainville, Sandra Nadeau and the late Kenneth Nadeau, Berlin, Gary Voisine and his wife Lucille, New Britain, Brenda Carrier and her husband Dany, Southington, and Annmarie Voisine and her husband Keith Meyer, Plainville; his brothers and sisters, Verna Roy, Annette Laberge, Joanne Michaud, Emile Voisine, Jeannette Willey, Roland Voisine, Reynald Voisine, and Jackie Loper; nineteen grandchildren, and many, many great grandchildren whom he loved and adored. He was predeceased by a special son-in-law, Ken Nadeau, and by three brothers, Ernest Voisine, Herbert Voisine, and Gilman Voisine. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. Calling hours are Tuesday, Dec. 16th from 5-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
