Laurie Ann Siwik

Laurie Ann “Lulu” Siwik, age 50, passed away on November 7, 2022.

She was born on June 5, 1972 to her parents Carol and Dennis Siwik who have predeceased her. She is survived by her three children, Brianna Pina, Avionna Jones, Jackson Forte; her granddaughter, Nylah Santiago; her sister, Julie Siwik and her brother, Justin Siwik; and her two aunts, Elaine Patterson & Joyce Hammick.

Laurie was an extremely loving and caring woman to every and anyone she crossed paths with. She had a very outgoing and bright soul, always giving her time and advice to others. Anyone who knew her, knew how funny she was and how much she loved to crack jokes and make everyone smile. She was the life of every party she walked into. Laurie opened her home and her heart to many people and children who all became a part of her extended family.

Growing up, Laurie vacationed with her family in Rhode Island every summer and she loved to continue that tradition with her children. She loved going to the casino, cooking for everyone who walked through her door and having all of her grand holiday parties, especially her Christmas extravaganza. She also loved singing and dancing with her granddaughter Nylah, who she was determined would be a star someday.

Most of all, she loved being with her children. She had a special bond with her first born daughter, Brianna who was most like her.  No matter what she continuously loved and supported her throughout everything in life.  Laurie was extremely proud of her daughter, Avionna, who she loved so deeply. She was ecstatic to witness her graduation from high school and to see her begin her journey to becoming a nurse. Lastly, she absolutely adored watching and cheering on her “favorite boy”, Jackson, as he grew into the basketball star he is and will continue to be. Laurie did any and everything she could for her children and always made sure they had what they needed, wanted and more.

She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.   She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Calling hours and funeral services in memory of Laurie will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 5-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main Street, New Britain.
