Kimberly Whistnant, 55, of Bristol, and formerly of New Britain, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Bristol Hospital. Born in Stevenson, AL, she was the daughter of William Earls and Nell Verinda Harrison. She was a former New Britain resident before moving to Bristol 20 years ago. Kimberly was a member of Greater Grace Apostolic Church in Terryville and New Britain Charms. Surviving are four sons, Joshua Rueben Whistnant, Jonathan William Whistnant, Brandon LaVon Broadie and Bufford Lendale Broadie; two brothers, Rayford Wardlaw and Norman Harrison; and four sisters, Dorthymae (Harris) Peevy, Mattie Harris, Carolyn (Earls) Davis, and Geneva (Earls) Esau; her God Sister, Lisa Brookes; 8 grandchildren; one aunt; one uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jessica Whistnant, and by four brothers, Henderson Earls, John Earls, James Charles Earls and Harrison Earls. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10 AM at the Greater Grace Apostolic Church. 23 Church St., Terryville. A calling hour will be held at the church on Saturday from 9 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
