Kenneth J. Pina

Kenneth J. Pina, 77, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 28, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Born in New Britain on Nov. 14, 1943, and was the son of the late John and Lena Pina.  He was a member of St. Jerome Church.

Kenneth cherished spending time with his family.  He was the greatest father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and New York Yankees fan.  Kenneth was always the life of the party and will be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Surviving are his children, Sherry Pina, Cristy Jackson and her husband Darryl, Kim Pina,  Kenneth Pina Jr. and his wife Shaleela; his brother, Michael Pina; seven grandchildren, Cassandra Pina, Christopher Garcia, Jordan Pina, Gabrielle Pina, Cameron Pina, Jalen Pina and Taylan Pina; and his great-grandchildren, Elijah Pina, Izaiah Cotto, Christopher Garcia Jr., Zoey Garcia, Jaxsen Garcia, Kaidence Blackwell, Kyson Pina, Savannah Pina, and McKenzie Garcia.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, John Pina; and by three sisters, Esther Mitte, Barbara Pina, and Elizabeth Pina.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, from 4-7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain.  Private burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
