Kattie R. Brown

Kattie R. Brown, 95, of New Britain, died Friday, Mar. 22, 2002 at Andrew House Convalescent Home. She was the widow of McCarroll Brown. Born Sept. 5, 1906 in Suffolk, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Rowe and Cora Parker Rowe Joe. She was a former resident of Mt. Vernon, NY and a New Britain resident for the past 20 years. She was a member of the Newington Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Surviving are a sister, Ruth Hollimon of New Britain, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a brother John Rowe, seven sisters, Elfreda Joe, Anna Jordan, Cora Borden, Bertha Blackwell, Hattie Dupree, Georgia Coker, and Goldie Barnett. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Newington Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 551 Church St. Newington, CT 06111.
