Karen Sak

Karen A. Sak, 41 of Hartford, passed away on February 15, 2013, unexpectedly at home. She was a strong woman fighting diabetes for 31 years. Karen was born April 26, 1971 in Greenfield, MA to the late Julianna "Babe" Sak and Chester P. Sak. She grew up and attended local schools in Turners Falls. She moved to Connecticut in 1991 and became a C.N.A. in 2008. She worked at Walnut Hill Care Center in New Britain, CT. She loved spending time with her love of her life Jesus "Tito" Irizarry, her daughter Ashley Williams-Sak, her only granddaughter Azaria Dejesus and her step kids Marissa and Justin. She was a loveable person, very caring, fun to be around with, and always helped people no matter what. She is survived by her fiancé of 8 years, Jesus "Tito" Irizarry; her daughter, Ashley Williams-Sak; step kids Marissa and Justin; her granddaughter, Azaria Dejesus; two brothers, Kevin C. Sak and his wife Theresa of Bristol and Gary M. Sak and his wife Carrie of Turner Falls, MA; a nephew Jacob Sak of Turners Falls, MA; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours and funeral services will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. New Britain.
