Juana Flores

Juana Flores, 81, of New Britain, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. She was born in San Lorenzo, PR and was raised in Patillas, PR.  Juana was a longtime resident of New Britain.

She is survived by five daughters, Carmen Colon, Midalina Lopez, Maria Ortiz, Migdalia Martinez, and Madeline Vargas; a son, Gerardo Colon; thirteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren;  and by four sons-in-law.  She was a competitor when it came to playing dominoes. Sewing was her biggest hobby. As we lay her to rest, she will be missed.

They say there is a reason. They say time will heal. But neither time nor reason will change the way we feel. For no one knows the heartache. That will lie behind your smile. She will always be in our heart and mind but so hard to be without.  Sleep in peace.

Funeral services and calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 18, from 3-5 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St. New Britain.  Entombment will be held privately in St. Mary Cemetery.
