Joy (Carlson) Kasiski, 85, of Berlin, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
Born in New Britain, CT on August 3, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Amer and Edna (Conrad) Carlson. Joy graduated from New Britain High School and worked for Nutmeg Physical Therapy Group and Cross Healthcare in a variety of office positions. As a single mother, she often worked two jobs while raising her son. Living the majority of her life in New Britain and Berlin, she was also a resident of New Hampshire for a number of years. Later in life and before retiring, Joy worked for Mickey Finns in Berlin. She was a breast cancer survivor. She enjoyed traveling and loved entertaining family and friends, especially around the holidays. Joy was a former member of St Matthew's Lutheran Church in New Britain and most recently a member of Prince of Peace Church in Berlin.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Manthey and his wife Helen Hastings of Haddam, CT; three grandchildren, Garrett Manthey and his wife Deanne of Woodbridge, CT, Ryan Manthey of New Britain, CT, and Kendra (Manthey) Farrell and her husband Christopher of Danvers, MA; three great grandchildren, Austin and Denver Manthey and Theodore Farrell; a niece, Jill White and nephew, Jarrod San Angel. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Kasiski, a sister Karen (Carlson) Camacho, a grandson Daniel Manthey, and her nephew Nicolas Camacho.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in South Burying Ground, Kensington. A calling hour will be on Tuesday from 10 AM to the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 28 West 44th St., New York, NY 10036.
