Jovino Rodriguez

Jovino Rodriguez, 76, of New Britain, passed away on July 21, 2020 at Bristol Hospital.  Jovino was born on January 28, 1944 in Puerto Rico to Gonzalo Rodriguez and Francisca Rivera.

Jovino was a very beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He was a great man to his family and everyone that knew him. He would always put everyone’s needs before his own and he would open his home to all whom needed help. Although we are sad to say goodbye to him, we are also happy to know that everything that he did for his family and friends will live on.  We will always live our lives the same way that he did; happy, strong, full of life and above all else love. Jovino is now doing what he does best watching over us from God’s garden waiting for the day that we would see him again.

He is survived by his loving wife Zoraida Torres; 7 children, Richard Rodriguez, Rosa M. Irene, Madeline Baez, Miguel Irene, Madeline Irene, Carmen Z. Irene, and Viviana Irene; 8 grandchildren, Angel Medero, Hector Quinones, Genesis Quinones, Rosa Negron, Loany Maldonado, Danny Maldonado and Gery Figueroa; great-grandchildren; and two very special friends Rosario Tlaxenchi and Freddie Cruz, and many other family and friends here and in Puerto Rico.
