Josephine Pastore

Josephine Pastore, 84, of Plainville, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Modesto and Mary Maratta Pastore. She was a former New Britain resident and a long time Plainville resident. She was formerly employed at The Stanley Works for 24 years before retiring and was an avid gardener. Surviving are two nephews, David Pastore of New Britain, Joseph Pastore Jr. and his wife Robin of Newington; three nieces, Denise Pastore and Karen Fongemie both of New Britain and Kim Skorupski of Kensington; many grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews; and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Dorothy Pastore; a sister, Antoinette Pastore; and a nephew, Dennis Pastore. A private funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
