Joseph Charles Paige, Sr.

Joseph Charles Paige Sr., 67, of New Britain, husband of Rita Piorkowski Paige, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 3, 2010 at home. Born in Hartford, he was a life-long New Britain resident and was the son of the late Anthony and Lillian Proctor Paige. He was formerly employed at Honeywell Manufacturing. Joseph was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Northwestern Club, and was a former member of the Bristol Fish and Game Club. Joseph was a avid fisherman and hunter. In addition to his wife Rita, he is survived by a daughter, Susan Mag, her husband Henry, and their son Jonathan, a special grandson in Joseph's life, all of New Britain; a son, Joseph C. Paige Jr. and his wife Paula of New Britain; two brothers, Tony Paige and his wife Elise, and Patsy Paige; two sisters, Arlene Oaks and Denise Paige. He was predeceased by two sisters, Joanne and Rosanne. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St Joseph Church. Committal service, with military honors, will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
