Joseph W. Crosby

Joseph W. Crosby, 88, of New Britain, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005 at Bristol Hospital. He was the husband of the late June Dole Crosby. Born in New Britain, he was the son of the late Wincenty and Agnes Kraszewski. He lived in Plainville, graduating from Plainville High School, and was a resident of New Britain for the past 54 years. He was formerly employed as a tool designer and worked for the town of West Hartford School System, before retiring in 1982. His interests included airplanes, fixing things at home, and his love for animals. Surviving are a son, William Crosby of New Britain; three daughters, Jean Lisi and Shirley Bracken, both of Windsor Locks, Carolyn Brackett of New Britain; twelve grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Anna Kraszewski. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
