Jose Antonio Cruz

Jose Antonio Cruz, 47, of New Britain, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021 at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain.

Born in New Britain, he was a lifelong resident and was a member of the Pentecostal church.  Jose enjoyed remote control cars and was a diehard New England Patriots fan.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Giove; a daughter, Nathie Cruz; a step son, Brandon Vega; his parents, Antonio Cruz and Rosa J. (Santana) Cruz; his brother Antonio Cruz and his wife Maria and three grandchildren, Eveney Cruz, Sophie Diaz, and Jada Nazarrio.

Funeral Services and calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-7 PM and Thursday at 10 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
