Jorge C. Flores

Jorge C. Flores, of New Britain, husband of Carmen C. Flores, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Candida Cruz and Enacia Flores. He was a New Britain resident since 1964 and was a member of St. Mary Church. Jorge was a devoted husband and father who was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his beloved wife, Carmen C. Flores; three sons, Felix Valentin, Luis Valentin, and Alex Valentin; four daughters, Carmen Ruiz and her husband Billy, Jackie Ramirez and her husband Victor, Marycela Valentin, and Omayra Valentin; two brothers, Monserrate Flores and Epifanio Cruz; three sisters, Maria Cruz, Elena Cruz, and Carmen Cruz; an adored aunt, Nativida Rosado; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at from 10 to 11 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 6 - 9 PM.
