John E. Lezotte, 76, of Waterbury, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007 at UCONN Health Center in Farmington. Born in Waterbury, he was the son of the late William and Catherine Millerick Lezotte. He was a life long Waterbury resident and was a graduate of Wilby High School. John was a US Navy Veteran of World War II having served on the USS Missouri and the USS Watts. He retired from The Bristol Company and had also worked as a bartender many local restaurants. He was a communicant of St. Peter & Paul's Church his entire life and was a member of the Mattatuck Fife and Drum Band. Surviving are four daughters and their spouses, Donna and Donald Cyr of New Britain, Sharon and Fred Rotondo of South Windsor, Theresa and William Edler of Middlebury, Marie and Joe Schmidt of Plainville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Jeanine Lezotte of Farmington, Edward and Judy Lezotte of Orlando, FL; ten grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. John The Evangelist Church, New Britain. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at New St. Joseph Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours are Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.
