Send a Sympathy Card
John Bartalotta of New Britain passed away on Sunday October 13th 2024. He migrated from Calabria, Italy with his parents when he was 6 years old. John is survived by his children Nicholas A Bartalotta and Kate F Bartalotta. John is also survived by his significant other of twenty-four years Brenda Hansen, his first cousins Angela, Nancy, Patrick, Frankie Tamburo, and Patricia, Rick, and their children Alex and Lizzie.
Also, John had an extensive number of friends including his core group that he knew since elementary and grade school (Rocco, Terry, Vinnie, Al, Billy, Chris, Bob, Kevin, Scott, and Mike). They played cards once a month since they were young.
John went to the College of Central Connecticut and the University of Rhode Island obtaining a masters degree in Chemistry. He knew the periodic table of elements by heart all his life from graduation. John worked at Winchester, Circuit Wise, and Sikorsky Aircraft where he retired in 2010. John was the one all the other chemists would go to for an answer and he would always have one. John has a couple of patents of chemical processes and various awards for his work.
John had many hobbies including making stained glass and giving his creations as gifts to all. John once made a stained-glass belt buckle for President Ronald Reagan that Mr. Reagan received and wore. He also loved growing pepper plants, fig trees and also had several German shepherd dogs. John was kind of a master of all trades including carpentry, electrical, masonry and tile, etc.
John was a very generous man giving his time to those who needed it. John was always very funny making little jokes and had little sayings. He liked to cook and entertained many at his home over the years. John, a Christian with strong faith did not want to have a funeral. Sometime in the coming year there will be a gathering at his home to celebrate his life.
John will be missed by many and made an impact on the lives of those he knew and loved by the principals, integrity, generosity and selflessness.
WE LOVE AND MISS YOU JOHN. YOU WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS.
