Joan A. Norman

Joan A. Norman, 80, of Brookline, MA passed away on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017.

Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Elmer M. Norman and Grace Louise (Barks) Norman.  Joan was a former resident of Kensington, CT.   She was a graduate of Boston College and was a resident of Brookline most of her life.  Joan was formerly employed as a Manager at Sabina Belgian World Airlines before retiring.  She enjoyed movies and dinner with her friends, Adrianne, Chris and Trisha.  Joan loved animals, especially cats and she loved traveling, especially on her safari to Africa.

The family would like to especially thank Christine Murray for her unwavering assistance and care provided to Joan.  Whether it was bringing Joan to appointments or generally checking in on her, Chris’s attention allowed Joan to be at home with Daisy, her feline friend until the end.

Surviving are a brother, Bruce Norman of Brookline, MA;  a niece, Laurie Rudzinski, of Bristol, CT; a nephew, Mark Grady, of Bristol, CT; 2 great-nephews, Joel Rudzinski and Kyle Grady; a great-niece, Jennifer Brester; and three cousins, Jane Gronback, Marie Lausch, and Lynn Gagnon.  In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Grady.
