Jimmie Mcelmurry

Jimmie McElmurry, 78, of Bloomfield, died May 9, 2017.  Born in Rosiclare, IL, he was the son of the late Henry and Lela McElmurry. Jimmie was a US Air Force Veteran.  He was a former Newington resident and was formerly employed as a Nurses Aide.

Surviving are two daughters, Kerie McElmurry of New Britain and Sheryl Shirley of Atherton, CA; his former wife, Jacquelyn McElmurry of Newington; and seven grandchildren.  He was predeceased by three children, Jimmie McElmurry Jr., Mindy Gilbert, and Christopher McElmurry.

Funeral services will be private.  Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
