Jennie Rosado Rivera

Jennie Rosado Rivera, 57, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024, following a short and courageous battle with brain cancer. Jennie was born on July 10, 1966 in the Bronx, NY. She is survived by her husband Abraham Rosado, her son Louis "Betito" Saavedra, daughter Jennifer Tirado, son-in-law Kerwin Roman and two grandchildren Jay Rodriguez and Neveah Tirado of New Britain. She's predeceased by both parents Lola Rivera and Luis Rivera, her loving big brother David Rivera and nephew, Robert Rivera.

Jennie was part of a very large Rivera family and was the 11th of the 12 children born to both of her late parents. She's also survived by her brother Luisito Rivera and wife Ramonita, sister Gloria Ester Rivera and late husband Angel, brother Heriberto Rivera, sister Minerva and husband Miguel, wife of late brother David - Olga Rivera, sister Carmen Delia Rivera and boyfriend Jose, brother Genaro Rivera and wife Felicia, sister Rosa Rivera and husband Axel, brother Adolfo Rivera and wife Mary, sister Alice Rivera and husband Javier, and brother Tony Rivera and wife Maritza. Jennie also had 29 first nieces and nephews and many great and grand nieces and nephews.

Jennie inherited the Rivera humor. Growing up, she was known by her siblings for her mischievous behavior which she never outgrew. As the youngest sister, she always got away it. When she was around, she was both unpredictable and full of jokes. She always made everyone laugh and we never knew what she was going to say it or how loud she was going to say it, but her intentions were always pure. She had a child-like spirit and brought so much joy and laughter to her family's lives.  She was genuinely loved and will be missed by all especially her children and grandchildren.

Calling hours and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home.  A repass will be held at Greater Harvest Church, 8 Concord Street New Britain from 1 PM to 4 PM.
