Jennie Elizabeth Marzi

Jennie Elizabeth Marzi, 88, of New Britain, passed from this life peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004 at New Britain General Hospital. She was the widow of Vincent Marzi who died in 2001 Born in New Britain, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Catherine DagataDimaio. She was a life long New Britain resident and was a member of St. Jerome Church, the Daughters of Isabella, Legion of Mary and the Adult Social Club at St. Jerome. Jennie had a deep love for her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters, Donna Joseph of New Britain and Catherine McBrien and her husband Robert of Salisbury, MD; a son, Martin Marzi and his wife Susan of Southbury; four grandchildren, Kathleen McBrien, Angela Modrick, Julianne Joseph, and Eugene Joseph; two great- randchildren, Emma Modrick and Edward Modrick; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
