Jeffrey Scott Tubbs

Jeffrey Scott Tubbs, 65, of Plymouth, passed away February 22, 2026, after a brief illness.

Jeff was born on October 30, 1960, in Bristol, to the late Leonard R. and Beverly A. (Corliss) Tubbs.

He attended Plainville High School, where he met his spouse Tamar (Dougie) Tubbs. They made their home in Plymouth, CT around Plymouth Lake for the last 27 years. Jeff and Tamar especially enjoyed the sunsets over Plymouth Lake.

Jeff was a loving and gentle person and was an avid animal lover, especially cats. Jeff also loved being near the lake, where he spent as much time as possible fishing both alone and with friends.

Jeff was also, for lack of a better word, a “collector”. He was always looking for some way to use, or make a buck or two, from something that others may have lost interest in.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tamar of Plymouth; his brother Leonard Tubbs and wife Debra; and his sisters Catherine Rogers and Candace Webb. He is predeceased by his sister Kimberly Motes and his brother Mathew Tubbs.

Jeff’s family would like to express their deep gratitude to the ICU staff at Bristol Hospital for their care and kindness to Jeff during his illness.

A Christian burial for Jeffrey will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:00am at West Cemetery on North Washington St in Plainville, CT.
