Jean D'Apice

Mrs. Jean (Wojculewicz) D’Apice, age 89, of New Britain, entered into eternal rest on July 9, 2024.  She was the widow of Nichalos D’Apice who died in 2017.  Jean was born in New Britain and remained a lifelong resident.  Jean graduated from Bridgeport University and was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 40 years.  She worked at the former New Britain General Hospital, now known as Hospital of Central CT.  She later worked as a nurse at the Jerome Home in New Britain.  Jean had a strong passion for art.  She loved to paint, crochet and make crafts.  She had a gift when it came to cooking and was able to make a delicious meal out of anything.  Jean loved to read, and also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs.  She treated everyone with respect and most as family.

She is survived by her son Daniel D’Apice of New Britian. She was the only sister of three brothers, Edward, Peter, and Walter.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Erickson -Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain with a service beginning at 10: 30 at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
