Janira Martinez

Janira Martinez, 41, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2019 at home. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of Felipe Martinez and Santa Vazquez. She was a resident of New Britain for 20 years and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are four children, Eric Colon, Destiny Serra, Samantha Castro and Nathan Castro; her brothers and sisters, Felipe Martinez Jr., Lillian Martinez, Robert Martinez, Elizabeth Martinez-Velez, and Wilson Martinez; and two grandchildren, Amyas Colon and Jaden Ortiz.

Funeral services and calling hours will be held on Friday from 10 AM to 12 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
