Jane Betty Elian

Jane Betty Elian, 87, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Reeds Landing.  She was the wife of William (Bill) Elian, having just celebrated their 65 ^th anniversary.

Jane was born in Flushing, New York on November 14, 1935, the only child of Clarence Emerson and Adelaide Gertrude (Kronk) Fairbrother.  She grew up there and was a secretary for W.T. Grant in Times Square, having attended Sheldon College for 2 years.  She and Bill met at church in Flushing and were married in 1958.  In 1965 they moved to Springfield where they joined the Evangelical Covenant Church.  There, Jane was involved in many church activities.

In 2012 Jane and Bill moved to Reeds Landing and have resided there since.

Bill and Jane would like to thank the staff at Reeds Landing for the loving care she has received in skilled nursing over the years.

Jane leaves her husband, Bill; a sister-in-law, Ruth Moser, her children, and their families in New Jersey.  She is predeceased by her parents, her in-laws, William and Anna Elian, and a brother-in-law Robert Moser.

There will be a graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Springfield on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 1:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, Bill requests donations in memory of Jane be made to the Evangelical Covenant Church, 915 Plumtree Road, Springfield, Massachusetts 01119.
