James J. Sirois Jr.

James J. Sirois Jr., 27, of Kensington, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006. Born in New Britain, he was a former Southington resident and a Kensington resident most of his life. He was a graduate of Berlin High School and was a member of St. Paul Church. Jim was an avid Boston Red Sox fan as well as a fan of the Washington Redskins. He was a member of the American Pool Players Association. He loved to laugh with his friends and family , who affectionately called him the "Gentle Giant". He was a special, caring person who will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Surviving are his beloved parents, James J. Sirois Sr. and Lois Hoyt Sirois; his loving sister with whom he shared a special bond, Kristina Sirois; his devoted fiance, Jennifer Marak; all of Kensington; his grandmother, Doreen Hoyt of Texas; several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins; as well as several very close friends, and his beloved dog Milo. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Marion "Pat" and Robert Sirois, and Phillip Hoyt. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Church. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday evening from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
