James Stephen Poglitsch

James "Jim" Stephen Poglitsch, 56, of New Britain, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Hospital of Central CT. Born in New Britain where he was a resident most of his life, he was a graduate of New Britain High School and was formerly employed as a carpenter. Jim was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Berlin. He enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. Surviving are his cherished daughters, Stacey Poglitsch of Oxford and Celina Pouliot of New Britain; Stacey's mother and Jim's former wife and friend, Corinne Lapointe of Newington and Celina's mother Maria Pouliot of New Britain; his mother, Evelyn (Davidson) Poglitsch of New Britain; two brothers, William Poglitsch and John Poglitsch, both of New Britain; a niece and a nephew. He was predeceased by his father, William Poglitsch, Sr. Jim was a good friend to many. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10 to 12 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain, with a service to be conducted at 11:45 AM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Mary Cemetery.
