James Douglas Hall Jr., 56, of Berlin, husband of Elizabeth (Langsner) Hall, passed away on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at Ledgecrest Healthcare Center with his family by his side. Born in North Kingstown, RI, he was the son of the late James Douglas Hall Sr. and Marjorie (Kozoil) Hall. Jim was a former Cromwell resident and a Berlin resident for the past 19 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Jim was employed at Yale-New Haven Hospital as a Computer Analyst and was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church. His quest for learning and knowledge was never ending. Jim was an experienced sailor and holder of his 100 ton ocean operator's captain license and was a certified dive master. He had a passion for the Spanish language. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Hall; his daughter, Samantha Hall of Berlin; a brother, Michael Hall of Hartford; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Robert Mallinson of Middlefield; and nieces and nephews, Tristan, Tate, Katie, Rebekah, Andrew, and Abi. A memorial service will be held Monday at 12:30 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 328 Paddock Ave., Meriden. Calling hours are Sunday from 2-4 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So.
