James Francis D’Amore, 84, passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on April 16, 2023, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease and dementia. Born and raised in New Britain, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Ann (Takacs) D’Amore.
James was a graduate of New Britain High School in 1956, and was a member of St. Ann Church. James served in the US Army and loved our country. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. The family wishes to express a special thank you to all the staff at Autumn Lake Healthcare and Hospital of Central CT.
James is survived by three sisters, Sally Anderson and her husband Bert of New Britain, Maryann Tombari and her husband Walter of New Britain, and Bernadette D’Amore of Hawaii; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
