James Joseph Bosco

James Joseph Bosco of New Britain, CT, age 97, husband of Eileen (Pettinato) Bosco of 75 years, passed away on May 5, 2024.  James was born on March 3, 1927 in New Britain, CT to Vincenzo and Concettina Bosco.

He attended and graduated from New Britain High School, and then joined the Naval Air Force.  Jim was employed by the CT Natural Gas Company for many years, and was often recognized for his outstanding sales performance and as an individual who cared deeply for all of his customers.  He had the gift of a warm smile, a firm handshake, and could always be trusted for his word.

He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in East Berlin, CT, and was a member of the Elks Lodge in New Britain, CT for many years. Jim still enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the Senior Center.  Jim will be remembered as a devoted father to his family, and as a loving husband to his wife Eileen, and as a wonderful kind man that everyone loved.

Jim leaves his wife Eileen, son James Bosco and his wife Judy, daughter Nancy Bosco, and was predeceased by his daughter Joanne Bosco.  He also leaves his brother Robert J. Bosco and his wife Barbara, and grandchildren Jason Bosco, Amy Bosco Wieland and her husband William, Brandon Bosco and Soly, and great grandchildren Ashleigh, Isabella, Isiah, and Billy.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 9 from 5-7 PM at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main Street, New Britain.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, East Berlin.  Burial with military honors will be in St Mary Cemetery.
