Jaime R. ''Panama'' Morrison

Jaime R. ''Panama'' Morrison, 54, of New Britain, beloved husband of Lydia Melendez Morrison, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003 at Brittany Farms Health Center. Born in Panama City, Panama he was a New Britain resident for over 30 years. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and was formerly employed at Pratt & Whitney as an HVAC technician, retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. Mary Church and was a former member of the Pratt & Whitney Bowling League. In addtion to his wife Lydia, he is survived by his mother, Maizie Conliffe Morrison of Panama City; two daughters, Jessica Roxanne Morrison and her husband Bert of Southington, Vanessa Morrison and her boyfriend Jared of New Britain; a sister, Celeste M. Morrison Wright of New Britain; a grandson, Bert J. Casale; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and many other friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his father Wilbert W. Morrison. Jaime was loved by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:30 am at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., and at 10:00 am at the Iglesia de Dios Monte Calvario, 1365 Stanley St., New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
